I had ran into some financial difficulties about a year ago, and my credit score has been severely effected. I have found a couple of places that offer bad credit financing, but I'm curious as to what sort of interest rates I'm looking at? Has anyone had any good experience with this? I'm going to need another car after the holidays. Any advice is appreciated.

I know this sounds like a really stupid question, but if I'm a young person (20s) who doesn't own a home, has a very small 401K from a past job, and has no credit card debt, why is this bad for me? I've seen gas and grocery prices go down, so my money is going further. is a credit score still essential? in what sense? there are lot's of advertisments saying "0% APR and after that is 8.9% for bad credits." and then whenever i check my yahoomail there is always an ad that says, 'sour credit? sweet card." there are also cars, loans, credit cards, mortgages, refinance that requires no downpayment plus good APR rates. how essential are credit scores nowadays?

Value of Car is $ 11k - car dealership got them to buy it for $ 12,200 got financed at 26% due to bad credit... for 48 months payments of $ 379 (which means they end up paying about $ 18,240 for it!!!). If they pay $ 400/month instead of $ 379 will they pay less for the car? I don't know how that works... but i guess
