Question by Jolson: Why is a recession bad?
I know this sounds like a really stupid question, but if I'm a young person (20s) who doesn't own a home, has a very small 401K from a past job, and has no credit card debt, why is this bad for me? I've seen gas and grocery prices go down, so my money is going further. I've read that these recessions typically last only a few years, so by the time I'm ready to invest it should be over (or I guess I could be smart and buy now...).
