I had a bad debt experience from a rental car company that paid my payment to my bank a week too late which put me on chex systems. Therefore, my bank will not allow me to open a checking account. I would like to apply for a car loan or a mortgage but they always ask "Do you have a checking account and I don't because of this. The rental car company apologizes
