Does the name on checking account must be the same as on the bill statement you are paying?

Question by zr_d: Does the name on checking account must be the same as on the bill statement you are paying?
For example if a family member with different name, even different last name use his checking account to pay billing statement on my name, on time of course. Is this bad for me or my credit history? Because I did not use my checking account to pay my bill?
