Question by Rupert W: Credit Checks - does the act of checking damage my rating?
I've had many checks recently by banks as I've moved around for personal and business accounts. I have some credit and keep it in good nick (pay on time, small balance on CC from time to time) but I have probably had 8 checks in the last quarter. The latest is from a prospective employer - will it look bad to just have had a bunch of checks done? Add to that I'm an immigrant to Canada so have
