Question by Amy: I want my house in MY name. Real estate/Mortgage help please?
Our mortgage is in my mother in law's name because my husband and I have awful credit. The plan is to transfer the house into our name when our credit is better. Having our house in her name ends up costing us so much more, we have a bad interest rate because the mortgage company considers it investment property for her seeing as she already has a house. We cant itemize on our taxes either. What is the best
