i had a paid off car, 110/ month insurance, my own place i could afford, and was doing fine financially.

he moved in, thought we needed a bigger place (so we got one) and i should have a safer more "mom-like" car (i had a civic, we got a CR-V). we titled the car in my name (he has 16 points on his license andthere is no way we could afford that insurance) but he's the head person
