how do i start my credit?

Question by luigidkm2=3: how do i start my credit?
hello im 18 years old and i want to start my credit i never had any credit card before all i have is a checking account how and where should i apply for a credit card ?
also my parents don't have credit and they are not willing to do the co-sign from a bank so i sort of need to start by my own
so what would be the best thing to do all by my self?

ohh and one more question is it true that if i get approved for a credit card
